Guest Talk is a small, opinionated team building hospitality software for independent operators. We hire deliberately, keep the org shallow, and pay competitive salaries transparently. This page lists the roles currently open plus how we think about the offer to candidates.
How we hire
Our hiring process is short: a first conversation (45 minutes) with the hiring manager, a technical or role-specific work sample done at your own pace with a clear time cap (typically 3-4 hours), a follow-up conversation about the work sample (60 minutes), and a final conversation with the hiring manager plus one other team member. We do not do brain-teasers, live-coding gauntlets, or unbounded take-homes. We aim to make offers within two weeks of the first conversation.

Open roles
Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript / PostgreSQL)
Work on the core reservation and channel-manager systems. TypeScript, Fastify, PostgreSQL, event-driven architecture. Ownership over a bounded context end to end.
Customer Success Manager (DACH region)
Own the customer relationship for hoteliers in the German-speaking market. Native German plus English required. Hospitality background strongly preferred.
Product Designer (workflow UI)
Design the operational surfaces of Guest Talk: tape chart, folio, housekeeping, messaging inbox. Deep collaboration with engineering and customer success.
Integration Engineer (channel partners)
Own connections to Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Hostelworld and regional OTAs. Deep XML / REST / OAuth experience required. Familiarity with hospitality data models a plus.
Onboarding Manager (Southern Europe)
Guide new customers from signature to go-live. Native Portuguese, Spanish or Italian plus English required. Prior hotel operations experience essential.

How we think about candidates
We look for people who care about the craft of their discipline, who write clear prose (yes, including engineers), and who have some experience of the problem space (either working in hospitality, working with hospitality software, or being a very frequent guest with strong opinions). We do not require credentials from prestigious institutions; we do require evidence that you have done substantial work in your discipline.
Estonian employer
All Guest Talk employment contracts are with Guest Talk OU, our Estonian legal entity. We invoice-employ candidates in countries where we do not have a direct entity, working through a compliant employer-of-record partner (WorkMotion). All benefits listed above apply regardless of the contract structure.
