Accounting
Fiscal receipts and invoices without a bookkeeper on speed dial.
Country-aware invoicing, receipt-to-guest emails, and one-click export to Xero, QuickBooks or Datev.
Invoices that pass an audit on the first try.
Hospitality accounting is the last mile that trips up most PMSs. VAT rates vary by country, by service line, by seasonal exemption and by guest residency. Fiscal receipts must include a fiscal ID, a signed hash and (in Italy, Portugal and Serbia) a real-time push to a tax authority endpoint. Guest Talk handles all of it.
We maintain the tax rules for the EU 27 plus UK, CH, RS, ME and MK, updated quarterly. New rules apply automatically on the day they come into force, with a rollback path if your accountant flags an edge case.
Included in Accounting
- VAT rules for EU, UK, CH, RS, ME, MK — updated by our tax team
- Deferred-revenue reporting for pre-paid stays
- Multi-currency ledger with month-end FX close
- Bank-reconciliation with Stripe payouts and manual bank import
- Guest-facing invoices with QR-code fiscalisation where required
Deferred revenue done right.
A guest pays for a five-night stay in November on the day they book in June. Their money is on your bank account, but the revenue is not yet earned. Guest Talk tracks the deferred-revenue liability from the moment the payment lands and recognises the revenue night by night as the stay is consumed. Cancellations reverse the liability with the appropriate refund path.
The deferred-revenue report is auditable to the cent. Every line references a reservation, a folio, a payment and a bank transaction. When your accountant asks “why did deferred revenue drop by EUR 4,120 on the third of October?”, the answer is one click away.
Nightly export to your bookkeeper.
Guest Talk exports every night to Xero, QuickBooks Online, Datev (SKR03 and SKR04), or a customisable CSV. The chart-of-accounts mapping is defined once during onboarding; after that, revenue, tax, deposits, refunds and fees flow into the right ledgers automatically. Bank reconciliation matches Stripe payouts to the folio lines that funded them, so month-end close for a 30-room hotel takes under an hour instead of two days.
