Guest Talk for hostel networks.
Hostels break most software assumptions. A "room" contains 6-12 beds; those beds are sold as separate reservations; a group of eight friends want the same dorm on the same night; a football tournament fills every bed for a week; and the front-desk shift is often bilingual, part-time and hand-over-fisted. Guest Talk's hostel configuration is designed with these realities in mind.

Bunk-level inventory model
Guest Talk models each bed as a physical unit inside a dorm room type. Dorm room types carry the gender rule (mixed, female-only, male-only), and the channel manager honours the rule when serving inventory to OTAs. A guest booking a female-only dorm on Hostelworld cannot end up in a mixed dorm because of an inventory reallocation; the constraint is enforced at every level of the write plane.
Group bookings
A group booking in Guest Talk is a first-class object: it references N reservations across possibly multiple dorm types on possibly multiple nights, plus a group folio for shared expenses. Split payment is native; each member can pay their portion in advance via a dedicated payment link. Guest Talk handles the notorious "someone did not pay" case with an automatic reminder and a soft escalation to the group leader.
Event modelling
Hostels near a stadium, a conference centre or a festival ground see event-driven demand peaks. Guest Talk supports named events on the calendar: an event carries a date range, an expected fill rate and (optionally) an event-specific rate strategy. When the event date approaches, the pace report highlights any gap against the expected fill and suggests targeted promotions.
Housekeeping at hostel scale
Hostel housekeeping is different from hotel housekeeping: a dorm room clean is not a single unit-of-work but 6-12 mini-cleans (bed linen, one shared bathroom, common area). Guest Talk's mobile app supports dorm cleans as multi-step tasks with progress tracking, so a housekeeper cleaning a 10-bed dorm sees the specific work remaining rather than a single "clean" checkbox.
Channel manager for hostels
Beyond Booking and Expedia, hostel networks rely heavily on Hostelworld. Guest Talk's Hostelworld connection is a first-class channel with all its idiosyncrasies handled: bunk-level pricing, group rules, cancellation grace periods, and the review-response tools. Airbnb is supported for hostels that also sell dorm-of-4 as a shared room to friend groups.
Multi-city network management
A hostel network of five properties benefits from Guest Talk's Growth plan: shared brand, shared templates, shared payment processing, cross-city dashboards, and central revenue management. Each property has autonomy for local decisions (specific rates, local integrations) but rolls up to a network dashboard for the portfolio owner.
