Housekeeping as a first-class module.
Most PMSs treat housekeeping as an afterthought — a status flag on a room that toggles between “clean” and “dirty.” That is not how a real hotel operates. Guest Talk models housekeeping as a task queue: assign a room to a housekeeper, set a priority (VIP arrival, late departure, deep clean), estimate the time, and let the head housekeeper watch the board fill in green as the day progresses.
Guests get a checkout time that respects the housekeeping cycle. When a room finishes early, it is offered to walk-ins first, then to early-arrival requests. When it runs late, the receptionist sees a countdown and can offer the incoming guest a coffee at the bar.

Maintenance tickets that close.
A leaking tap in room 214, a Wi-Fi reboot in the mezzanine lobby, a broken safe in room 402. Guest Talk lets any staff member open a maintenance ticket from their phone, attach a photo, and route it to the maintenance queue with an SLA. Tickets close when the maintenance staff attaches an “after” photo. The reservation for room 214 is automatically flagged so no guest arrives to a broken tap.
Tickets can trigger blocks. A room out for >24 hours is automatically blocked from availability across all channels for the duration. When the fix ships, the room is released and the channel manager pushes the new availability.
Staff shifts and cost planning.
The shift planner lets you build a weekly schedule with drag-and-drop across reception, housekeeping, F&B and maintenance. Each staff member has a role, an hourly cost and a max-hours-per-week budget. As you drag shifts around, the planner calculates the payroll cost in real time and flags overtime. Publish the schedule and every staff member gets a notification with the week ahead.
