Guides library
Playbooks written by operators, for operators.
Guest Talk publishes long-form operational guides that we would read ourselves if we were opening or running an independent hotel or hostel tomorrow. Every guide below is written by a member of our onboarding or customer success team, then reviewed by a working operator before publication. No fluff, no filler, and no advice that we would not follow ourselves inside a live property.
Onboarding your hotel in 21 days
A day-by-day plan covering property setup, room mapping, rate strategy, channel connections, staff training and go-live.
Connecting Booking.com the right way
The XML certification process, common rejection reasons, parity monitoring and how to structure your rate plans for Booking.com's Genius programme.
Setting up WhatsApp Business API for your property
Meta Business Manager, phone-number verification, template pre-approval, opt-in language for GDPR, and the seven templates worth having on day one.
Multi-property rate strategy without the spreadsheet
How to structure a rate hierarchy across a portfolio of two to twenty properties without duplicating work or losing parity.
Staff permissions and roles, done properly
A permission model that scales from a two-person independent to a fifty-staff hostel network. Includes a printable RACI for shift handover.
The housekeeping workflow that actually gets used
Assignments, room-status codes, mobile flow for cleaners, quality inspection and reporting to the general manager.
Deploying the Guest Talk mobile app to your team
Device fleet management, single sign-on rollout, offline mode, and the training playbook we ship with every new site.
How to read a Guest Talk guide.
Each guide is structured around a specific outcome and can be finished in a single sitting of about fifteen minutes. At the end of every guide you will find a checklist that maps to the specific screens inside the Guest Talk workspace so a reader can go from reading to configured within an hour. Where the workflow depends on a third-party service (Booking.com XML, Meta Business Manager, Stripe onboarding), the guide includes the timing expectations we see across our fleet: how many working days a step usually takes, common rejection reasons, and how to escalate when the process stalls.
If you would like a topic covered that is not in the library, email suggestions to hello@talkg.fabriza.org. We add roughly one substantive guide every fortnight and are always short on ideas that come directly from operators.
